Police searching for missing Titchfield pensioner Heather Harley have confirmed they have discovered a body.
Officers discovered the body yesterday (June 25) afternoon near the Meon shore close to Titchfield Haven.
Heather Harley, aged 66, from Bellfield Road, went missing from her home at around 10pm on Monday (June 24).
Police believed she may have be in a confused or withdrawn state because she had not had her medication.
Formal identification of the body and a post-mortem examination will take place in the next few days.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A family liaison officer is keeping the relatives of Mrs Harley informed, but police are not in a position to confirm the body’s identity at this time.
