A 40-year-old man charged with attempting to rob a Locks Heath betting shop has been sent for trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.
Mark Williamson, of Northmore Road in Park Gate was charged with attempting to rob Rebecca Goble of Coral Bookmakers in the Locks Heath Centre on April 9.
The amount of cash Williamson allegedly attempted to steal is unknown.
Williamson was told by Fareham magistrates his case could only be heard at the crown court and the case was adjourned until May 31.
He was remanded on conditional bail where he must observe a curfew from 7pm to 7am daily and must not enter a designated area within the road boundaries of Locks Road, Headland Drive, Lockswood Road and Heath Road.
