A Sarisbury Green motorist has been banned from driving for three years for drink driving in Locks Heath.
James Edward Longhurst was convicted of driving a Volkswagen Caddy on Home Rule Road while having 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – above the 35 microgramme limit.
The 35-year-old of Edenbridge Way was fined £490 for the incident, which took place on May 22, as well as being and banned from being behind the wheel for three years.
Longhurst pleaded not guilty, but Fareham magistrates found him guilty of the offence at a hearing on Tuesday (September 17).
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £49 and £600 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
