A 54-year-old man from Sarisbury Green has been fined £1,200 and banned from driving for 20 months after being arrested at the wheel of his car while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.
Paul Tudor, of Barnes Lane, was stopped by police while driving his Audi A3 car in Brook Lane at Sarisbury on August 18. When breathalysed he was found to have 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Tudor admitted the charge of drink driving when he appeared before magistrates in Fareham yesterday (September 25). As well as the fine and road ban he was ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution service costs.
