A Locks Heath man who crashed into a street sign while drink driving failed to stop and report the collision, Fareham magistrates heard.
Paul John Raymond of Yarrow Way pleaded guilty to driving a Rover on Whiteley Lane with 113 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood on June 11.
The 32-year-old was over the legal limit of 80 micogrammes.
Raymond pleaded guilty for failing to stop after the collision with the stop sign. He also pleaded guilty to another offence of deliberately removing the bumper of a car parked in Westway, Titchfield, and deliberately destroying or damaging it.
Raymond was banned from driving for a year and fined £95.
Fareham magistrates ordered him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
